Technical info about FTP search
Current state
The main server (ftpsearch.ntnu.no) runs on an PC with a 100 MHz Pentium CPU, 128 MB main memory, two MS160SE cards with 96 MB RAM each, and FreeBSD 2.2-CURRENT.If you have problems with the search page, you can try using a prospero capable archie client, and point it at ftpsearch.ntnu.no.

The MS160-based search engine implemented in 1992 will be replaced by a new design developed in cooperation with Opticom AS/Inc., Norway.More info
